Graham's Bio
I started skiing in 1992 with a trip to Borovets in Bugaria with a bunch of Royal Marines (with whom I was then serving) and my then girlfriend who is now my long suffering wife. Little did I know then, when I was wobbling around in borrowed Salomon SX92's and on a set of 195 K2 mogul skis, that I'd be making this sport my life's passion.
I fell in love with the sport immediately and went on plenty of trips and deployments in the 90's to satisfy my hunger for the sport.
I still ski as much as I can and try to get away once a month during the season. I love Austria for its skiing, atmosphere and obviously Apres. I do a lot of Ski Touring and really love northern Norway and Lofoten for that. Luckily I also have a few friends with comfortable couches I can crash on in Argentiere, Chamonix so you'll find me there at least once a season.
Fast forward to 2004 I had a motorcycle crash that medically retired me from the Prison Service with whom I was serving after my military service. I had become friends with the guy who owned the ski shop before me, Tim, when it was Rivington Ski Services. He was looking to get out and I had a pile of cash.
The rest is history and a smaller pile of cash!
As soon as I took the business over I became intensely interested in the boot side of things and set about trying to make it the engine room of my shop. Basic courses followed and then lots of experience gained offering to solve problems for people.
Fast forward to the present day and we are in a very different position, We are now a dedicated ski boot fitting destination. We cater for national and international customers. We're Masterfit accredited and we have a great premises that we designed specifically with ski boot fitting and our customers experience in mind.
We love solving problems and getting our clients on the slopes with comfort and performance. We deal with a lot of racers too, my daughter is very active on the dry slope scene, so get your budding Dave Ryding or Chemmy Alcott's to us so we can help them achieve their goals.
Come and see us, chat, drink our coffee or something stronger and get excited about your next trip!
